Inside our school
The environment is carefully prepared to create an atmosphere of inspiration for learning.

The classroom
Our classrooms are simple and inviting spaces filled with soft colors, flowing play silks, and a nature table curated with seasonal items and handcrafts. Our furniture is wood and we have warm, cozy wool rugs inside our classrooms where we gather for stories, songs and puppet shows.
Rhythms of the day
Teachers softly guide transitions with song as they move between organized activities such as grinding oats and watercolor painting into free play, honoring play as the child's work. Each weekday has its own organic whole grain at snack. The children come to know Monday as rice day.
The play yard and the farm
We have an expansive yard with big trees, a large organic garden, natural wood climbing structures and old-fashioned toys. Alongside it, our farm animals - goats and chickens. Working in the garden and caring for the animals brings children close to the processes of life.
A community, not just a school
Every season is marked with a festival. Family life is nurtured alongside the child's. With parent education and support, our celebrations are offered both in and out of school hours.
Teachers who see each child as an individual, and teach intuitively in a loving, mindful way.
Our classrooms are painted in warm colors, filled with play things of natural materials that let imaginations soar.
Coming together in community with families invited to take part in festivals through the year.
